Seriously!

I wish that when people wrote a sequel to a previous book or a full series that they would not re-explain everything. I am currently reading Harry Potter in preparation for the fifth movie and the seventh book. I just started the fourth book today and frankly I am sick of reading over and over again what a muggle is, and if someone is reading the fourth book in this series and you don't know who Sirius Black is then maybe you should start at the beginning and read them like your supposed to. Really, I would like to know, who starts reading a series of books in the middle? Because these people cause me a lot of pain. If I ever write a series of books (which will never happen) I will make sure that if you are reading the second book and you haven’t read the first book you better turn right back around or else you are going to be confused. Am I being selfish? Or are others bothered by this as well?

I'm totally bothered by it as well!! It's like 'come on, get to the good stuff, I know all this already!'.

Yah, it annoys me to go over past stuff in a series. But, when HP came out remember that it was about two years between novels and some people needed a refresher. Not everyone reads them one after another like you : )

That reminds me, I'd better do some re-reading this year too!
