Do you ever feel strangely awake at odd hours during the day?
I've been sitting here not for about three or three and a half hours colouring a children’s book I wrote for English class. I have all day tomorrow to do it, but I don't think I could fall asleep even if I tried too. I guess I should probably try soon, or I am going to be just a tad off schedule tomorrow. And I do have to work...

Every Morning
I get picked up everymorning at about 8:12 to go to school. Now, I was taught to always be waiting and ready for a ride, and I am most of the time. I am usually ready by about 8:08 and I either sit in my kitchen by the window or stand by the window on the landing. Everyday I wait I see my neighbour across the street get into his car and drive away. Not that theres anything strange about this, only that as he is leaving the curtain in his front window is pushed away and his mom, his dad, or both of them stand there and wave him off. This is when I think wow, their family is different from ours. Bye the time I was in grade seven my mom would only get up if she felt like it, and my dad was always gone to work before I was awake. Now that my dad is retired he only gets up when he feels like it. But that’s the way I like it. I think it would be wierd if my mom got up everymorning to make me my lunch and breakfast.

Where I would like to be
I get up off my towel. My hair and baithing suit is still wet from swimming. I can kind of smell the lakewater in my hair, and the dirt and sweat on my skin. I walk through the sand and it sticks to my wet feet. I put on a tank top and my wet bikini slowly soaks through. Brushing the hair out of my eyes I start walking toward my cabin. My Skin is not burnt, but hurts from being in the sun too much. I walk over the sand/rock path and onto the grass. I try and wipe as much sand off my feet as possible on the grass so I won't have to wash them before going inside. I walk up the steps, they're hot from the sun. I open the screen door, and make sure it doesn't slam behind me. It is dark inside compaired to the brilliant sun outside, I have to squint to see. I press play ont he CD player and David Gray comes on, "Please forgive me if I act a little strange..." I walk to fridge where I find some pink grapefruit pop. I pour myself some of this. I am the only one in the cottage, everyone else is at the beach, and I secrely love being there by myself. I walk to the window and look at everyone else still on the beach. I make myself a delicious summer sandwich. With my drink and my sandwich I walk back down to the beach where I lie back down in the sun and enjoy my little lunch.
