For the fam (and anyone else who cares)
We are here. The GPS is crazy...but works good. Kim may have nightmares of the gps lady. She's a little obsessed with it with some forest and the lady telling her to walk in circles and turn her and such...maybe pray for her if you have time. (haha) James and Inez are the nicest people ever! With the freaking nicest house I've ever seen! That is all for now. I'm tired. Maybe I'll do a real post with some pictures later.

Cool beans
I have 2 days. This will be the longest I have ever been away from home, my parents, the majority of my family and Tom. I know it will be tough, but I think/hope it will be good for me. I am more excited than nervous, so I'm thinking that's a good sign. I will be staying with a friend, and hopefully have thanksgiving with my future in-laws which I think will be fun! Other than that, I think the only thing keeping me relaxed is that it's only 3 months. If worst comes to worst, I'm taking all my movies! ha ha, I can just wallow is self pitty and cry while entertaining myself with my new computer and movies...right? That'll be a good time I think!
No, I will learn how to use a subway system. And go learn about and see great art, and get a job, and this life experience everyone keeps talking about (is it really possible not to get life experience...isn't any life, experience in itself?) and meet new people and possibly start working out like I've been meaning to for the last 3 years. This is what I will do. And I will have fun, and miss home, and family, and it will be good. It will be good!

A little backwards
Its funny, when you say to someone close to you; "I'm thinking of dropping out of school..." They reply; "No! Don't do that, your so close already. You can do it! You just need to put your mind to it!"
But when you say to the same person; "I am dropping out of school." They will reply; "Good for you. I think this is the right thing. I'm happy for you."
I guess its not so much backwards as them trying to support you and love you in either case, trying to prevent you from making a mistake and showing they care. But a little funny all the same.
Anybody have any painting orders? I've got quite the bundle of time on my hands!

Well, well...
I got a hamster about a month ago now I guess. I was just bored, and so comes another hamster era. Her name is Fen (Fennel, the spice. They've all had spice names; Ginger, Pepper, Paprika, Nutmeg, and possibly another one! I'm not entirely sure.)
I went to check up on her late last Thursday night. I had seen her in the morning, but hadn't been home all day so thought I'd go say a quick hello. Looking in the cage, I realize, there is no hamster in there, that door is not latched shut....Shite! So I proceed to look for her. I look in each room in the basement and close the door behind me. She is not in any of the rooms. I look in the big room, under the couches, under the T.V., in the corners behind shelves. Not there. I go under the stairs (a minor disaster in my house) it is hopeless. I cannot possibly look through all of this stuff. So, I sit really still, hoping if she is here I will hear her. Nothing. It is about midnight by this point and I have an early rising time of 6:15. I figured I'd look for her when I got back from school.
In the morning I am brushing my teeth, when I suddenly remember my childhood nightmare every time I lost one of my hamsters...What if shes in the sump pump?!? No. she couldn't possibly be in there! So, I finish brushing my teeth, and go to check. I look down the hole, "Well, I can't see anything, maybe I should take off the lid." I take of the lid to find a little wet hamster sitting in about 1cm of water on a little circular piece of metal just under the surface of the water. "Oh, my!" I felt so bad. As the frick if she fell in the sump pump, its almost humorous! ha ha, other than I feel bad. How long has she been there I wonder...I rinse and dry her, and put her safe and sound in her cage...All is well.
About 20 minutes ago my mom came downstairs, "Have you checked on your hamster lately?" Turns out she escaped again. Except this time I am positive I closed the cage properly. Though she didn't fall into any sewers or anything this time, she did make it all the way upstairs (maybe I shouldn't have taught her to climb stairs...) through the house to my parents room. just about the farthest place in the house from her cage...wow, that is talent. Especially after opening her own cage door...I'm going to have to keep an eye on this one!
