Grade Eleven Pre-Calculus Mathematics Cumulative Exercises
Exercise 2: Graphs of Quadratic Functions 1
Question #10:
If one man can jump a stream that is 3 meters wide, how wide a stream can 5 men jump?
When I saw this question I was stunned and speechless. I didn't know how to react or how to answer such a stupid question. My response was ummmm..... So after I got over my shock I looked in the answer book. Do you want to know what the answer was?!? It depends on how far each man can jump. That was it. Now really, who made this book? #1 Is that question really worthy of being in a Grade Eleven Pre-Calculus book? #2 Is that really a worthy answer to a question in a Grade Eleven Pre-Calculus Book? #3 Are you serious?!?

hmm...
just one of those things that makes graduation seem so very very far away...
Do you have the option of entering a sarcastic answer? Does your teacher see it? 'Cause, gosh, this sarcasmo would go that route.
And who's in the "smarter" math! Are you sure your in the right classroom? Thats really bad!
Kay, I'm bad at math and even I could get that answer! Yipee! I could have passed gr. 11 pre-calc!! Who knew?
um....I still don't get the question.
Well, I think that it's a good question. Just the other day someone asked me how far 5 men could jump, and I didn't have the right answer for them. I should have been in that class.
