Attack 1: I was standing on two crates. Probably not the smartest idea I realize, but I was facing at the store and wanted to reach the cereal at the back on the top shelf. Needless to say, I leaned too far. The crates buckled. I yelped. The whole store heard. I fell on top of the fallen crates, landing on my left leg, bringing with me a bunch of cereal boxes and sale signs. I managed not to break any skin, but had one of the biggest bruises I have ever had (a little bigger than my hand). This was "attack of the left leg" number one, this winter.
Attack 2: Remember that really icy day, when it rained and then froze so the whole city was a skating rink? I wish I had my boots with screws my dad made for me when I was seven that day. I also posted a blog about it that day (when I poured juice in my cereal. Not such a good day!). Well, I fell that day. On my left leg. It hurt, and I had to get up right away because someone was walking about ten feet behind me and it was awkward. When I got to school I realized, though my jeans were fine, my skin was not. Hence the pain. This was "attack of the left leg" number two, this winter.
Attack 3: I was in the shower, shaving my armpits. A fairly regular thing for me these days... So just finished, rinsed the razor off in the water turned around to give it a good shake off, and shook it right into myself. What would you know, it was my left leg. It bled. Surprisingly a lot. And, cuts burn in the shower! Ouch. This was "attack of the left leg" number three, of the winter.
Attack 4: Walking to school again, it wasn't a complete sheet of ice this time. But after the snow melts during the day, it freezes at night, and it’s still frozen at 7:00 in the morning. So I wiped out. Again. Except it wasn't like a normal, fwa-boom, your-down-on-the-ground-and-don't-even-know-what-happened-to-you type of fall! It was more in slow motion. I fell onto my left knee, but then the momentum of my huge backpack just kind of kept me going until I was basically lying on the ground! My face was seriously about an inch from the ground! My knee hurt, skin was broken. Oh well. This was "attack of the left leg" number four, of the winter.
Attack 5: This just so happened to occur on the same day as attack four. Though it was about 17 hours later. Again, the ice had melted and frozen, just in time for Becky to be outside and walking again. So what ever, I wiped out again, on the same knee as the morning. It kind of re-opened my previous scab and also made a new one. So therefore we have "attack of the left leg" number five.
I am ready for this icy, watery, mucky mess to be gone.

apparently you should be wearing your huge honkin' winter boots to school instead of sneakers. That way you probably wouldn't wipe out as much. In fact, I don't think I know anyone who wiped out more than 3 times this past winter. you're the winner!!
And maybe for your birthday I'll get you a set of knee pads. Ouchy.
