Catch-up week
The rest of my school did not get a spring break. Instead they got a mini-break; Thursday and Friday of last week off, and the following Monday (which was already a holiday). I was pretty ripped off when I found out this is the break I would be getting. I needed a break, and that was not long enough. About a week before "mini-break" our department head came in and explained that we would continue school for the rest of the week, coming in Thursday and Friday when the rest of the school was not there and we would get the whole next week off. On one condition: We were not allowed to brag or boast about it to the other departments. So here I am, mostly enjoying my break, though I do need to do some work, so I better get to it. School awaits in just 4 short days.

Worse Yet
My day only got worse...I got to the bus stop and my bus was almost 15 minutes late, thank the heavens it was not -50 degrees out today. Then when I was walking to school I wiped out hard-core. And now my left upper side thigh is all scratched and bruised, and my jeans are all bloody on the inside. Then We had two labs today and my lab partner left for an early holiday, so I had to do them by myself. It is, however, picking up now. I got off early and made it home safe, had a lovely corn wrap for lunch (corn always makes me feel better) and now I get to work on a resume and cover letter...Woo! Sigh, I guess I should be more thankful and less of a complainer. Maybe tomorrow.
Bad Start
I just poured juice on my cereal. I don't think this is going to be that fantastic of a day...

Warm and Fuzzy
I love having kids around me that like me. Its such a wonderful feeling to have the sweetest little girl hold her arms out to you while shes sitting with her mom. Is there a better feeling to have? Some one, so innocent and sweet likes you, not because they have to, not because you give them things just because they do. I think I'll call them up right now and see if I can go over for a visit!

lime-apple juice
My Mom bought some apple-lime juice today. I was pretty hesitant to try it, but when I had the weirdest sensation. It was so familiar and yet I didn't know the taste at all. I asked my Mom if she used to buy it when I was little. You can guess the answer, yes. From one sip I felt like I was seven years old again, sitting at the old table in our kitchen, in its old spot, eating honey-nut cheerios for breakfast before I went to school. I liked it. I hope I get that feeling more often as I get older.
