Europe

We leave tomorrow. In just two days I will be making my way around London, freaking England!!

For those of you who know me I have always held traveling close to my heart and in very high regards. I haven't been too many places, but I don't think I'm doing too bad for a 23 year old either. But this trip has been a long time coming. When I was around 15 the four Van A sisters started planning a trip to Europe. The year Becky graduates we will all venture there together for a decent chunk of the summer. I even skipped out on a pretty cool opportunity to go with my art class in grade 11. I was always fine missing it, because it wouldn't be the trip I wanted anyway. Then graduation came around, and so did 2 wedding in the Van A clan, and our trip got pushed to the back of certain people minds...Haha.

8 years later I still held on tight to my Europe trip dream. And I am so friggen happy I skipped and missed out and waved goodbye to those other trips, because now I get to go with my husband. My Thomas. And that makes up for all the waiting and has made me so happy and so excited as I planned our trip out. 3 weeks away, just the two of us. Learning, growing, experiencing the world together.. And let me tell ya, that sounds a heck of a lot better than going with some snotty teenagers and teachers who think they know all the rules and ways of the world.

Good for you!!...everything works out the way its supposed too. That's been my experience anyway, even if you don't know it at the time.
We just spent a week surrounded by brits in Cuba and all I could think was "when can we go there??" I want to go long enough to come back saying things like 'brilliant' & 'bollocks' & 'rubbish'.
i hope you post pics while your there...
living vicariously, Donna

Even though the four of us didn't make it to Europe I still treasure our memories from New York together!

Hope you have an absolutely amazing time! Actually, I know you will : )
