Thirteen Things I'm Thinking About While I Should be Studying

1. I currently own three movies that I have ye to watch. And I didn't just buy them or anything, I'm sure I have owned all of them for at least a year.
2. I've realized that if you leave just a little bit more than a couple drops of juice (or any other drinking substance for that matter) it stays liquid for a lot longer. i.e. doesn't turn into that sticky muck that’s impossible to get out three days later when you finally take it to the kitchen.
3. A screw from the bag of screws we bought today, which just so happened to conveniently be placed in the same bag as a few cokes (by me of course), punctured one of the cokes. As I put the bag down on the kitchen floor I heard a hissing and wondered what it was. It was coke spraying out of a pin hole onto everything. So now we are trying to frantically drink a 2 litre of coke. The only problem, only me and my dad like coke.
4. Funny how you feel so much more confident for an exam before you actually start studying for it. It’s just all down hill once you realize how little you know.
5. I took piano lessons for 8 years, got really mad and sick of them, quit, and didn’t play for a long time. I've recently started playing again and I'm really enjoying it. I thought about starting lessons again (my neighbour now teaches) but don't really think I can afford $15 a week.
6. My dads pretty "into" Tommy Emmanuel (a guitar player) right now, I can hear him listening to videos on youtube and playing along as I study. I like it.
7. We can't put that coke in the fridge (since it has to lie down and all!). And we just so happened to be out of ice, but you'd be surprised how much I'm enjoying my semi-room-temperatures coke!
8. I'm glad I'm feeling better, because being sick and studying is no fun. The fact that you can't even eat normal healthy food let alone yummy study food (whatever the heck I feel like eating because I feel sorry for my self i.e. candy, chocolate, pop, cheese and crackers...) is defiantly not fun. I am quite happy now with my Juniors and fruit-by-the-foot, warm pop and cheese ad crackers!
9. Sometimes when I'm looking something up in my textbook I feel like its saying/thinking something along the lines of: Holy Becky, you don't even know this yet, you better get on that. Your going to do absolutely awful on this exam in you don't even know that yet! And I end up getting a little embarrassed or some weird emotion I can't explain, and I have to stop and tell myself, no one but you will know what you’re looking up, so it doesn't matter. The text book does not have a brain of little textbook buddies to gossip to about your stupidity. *
10. Sometimes when I'm leaving my room and I know I'm coming back relatively soon I'll leave some music playing. That way when I walk in later it will feel welcoming.
11. I have a heater in my room during the winter. I don't really use it that much normally. But when I'm in my room a lot, like when I'm studying I'll leave it on full blast for a good couple of hours till it’s good and warm in there. I know my dad would not approve of this, but I figure since its only 4 out of 365 days of the year its fine. Plus, he'll never have to know that my rooms peaking at 30 degrees! **
12. I, or someone else (I don't want all the blame, cause I really don't think it was me) misplaced a book of mine/my dads. It’s the last book in the Narnia series, The Last Battle. I'm re-reading them and I am now on that book and can't find it anywhere. What’s worse is there not just any old set of books. My dad has owned them for years and has read each book to all of us five children. I really hope we find it soon.
13. We didn't finish the coke. It's lying on the counter upstairs. Sorry little guy! I'm sure someone will drink you whether you’re flat or not sometime soon. (We don't like letting things go to waste here in the Van Aertselaer (Delve...if you know what I mean) household!)

*but I'm still a little hesitant to believe myself.
** I don't actually have a thermometer in there so I have no idea what the actual temperature is, but I like to think it’s that warm.
